Who to start...who to sit. Week 7 winners and losers.

Ok, ok, I've taken my deserved punishment for my suggestion that Matt Hasselbeck would be a good start at QB last week. I've begged forgiveness and am going to give it another shot.

Winners...who to start.

QB Phillip Rivers, San Diego - Kansas City is the "lucky" team that gets to host the Chargers this week. I don't think San Diego is going to be in a good mood after last weeks loss. Good stat for Rivers to check out, the Chiefs rank 25th vs the pass and have allowed 10 TD passes so far in '09.

QB Aaron Rodgers, GB - The Pack travels to Cleveland to face one of poorer pass defenses in the NFL. Last week, Steeler QB, Ben Roethlisbeger torched the Brownies for 417 yards. I see no reason that Rodgers can't continue the onslaught.

Also...Eli has a big day vs Arizona. Ryan tames the Cowboys.

RB Thomas Jones, NYJ - Jones ran wild last week, going for over 200 yards. This week, he gets to shine again as the Jets face Oakland and their 28th ranked run defense. Oakland gives up, on average, 145 yards rushing a game. Jones should roll once again.

RB Marion Barber, Dallas - Barber still isn't 100%, but he's healthy enough to get the start against the Atlanta Falcons. While I don't see a big yardage game for Barber, I do see him doing well in the red-zone with a couple of scores.

Also...Benson gets revenge vs the Bears. Addai gets his against the Rams.

WR Vincent Jackson, SD - For the same reasons I picked P. Rivers to have a big game I'm also going with Jackson. One other reason is Jackson taller, faster and more physical than the Chief defensive backs.

WR Hines Ward, Pittsburgh - I've got to ride the hot horse boys and girls. Ward is having a great early '09 and I don't know why he shouldn't continue at home vs a so-so Viking secondary. Minnesota gives up 248 ypg through the air and 9 scores. This should be a great game.

Also...Driver handles the Browns. Nicks finds success against Arizona.

Losers...who to sit.

QB Marc Bulger, St. Louis - Don't be fooled by Bulger's fairly good game last week against Jacksonville. This week he steps up in competition as he faces a Colt team coming off a bye week. The Colt defense has allowed just 2 TD passes this season. By the way, the Colts also get S Bob Sanders back this week. Have fun Marc.

QB Jake Delhomme, Carolina - I'm going to be pretty brief here. Delhomme is not a consistent NFL QB anymore and should not be started...period.

Also...Sanchez struggles yet again vs the Raiders. Henne finds it tough vs NO.

RB Brandon Jacobs, NYG - Talk about a disappointment! Jacobs has not been getting the job done for fantasy owners. This week doesn't offer much promise as the Giants face the #1 ranked run defense (Arizona). Not only that, but the Cards have given up just 2 rushing scores.

RB Carnell Williams, TB - 'Cadillac' has had a resurgence this year after injuries. Problem is, this week he'll face the Patriots. New England isn't particularly great against the run, but the Bucs will be so far behind by halftime, the running game will be an afterthought.

Also...Lewis does little vs GB. Slaton just average against San Francisco.

WR Steve Smith, Carolina - I feel bad for Smith. He's riddled with a bad QB (see above), and he's playing Buffalo. The Bills rank 4th in pass defense in the NFL and give up just 179 ypg through the air. Sorry Steve.

WR Braylon Edwards, NYJ - Many were ready to jump on the Edwards bandwagon after coming over from Cleveland and having a strong first game for the Jets. Well, the 2nd game didn't go near as well, and I don't believe it's going to get much better this week. Sanchez is still learning and the Raider pass defense is pretty good.

Also...Berrian blanketed by Pit defense. Maclin struggles against Washington.

Here's hoping that everyone racks up huge totals this week in your leagues!
